Abi is a dynamic and versatile personnel in the digital field and has honed various digital skills through her personal and work experiences, including social media management (SMM), picture/video editing & graphic design (PhotoGrid, Lightroom, InShot, Canva); Microsoft Office suite, proofreading & editing and copywriting.
Abi possesses excellent communication skills that have enabled her thrive in roles such as customer service representative, SMM, communications officer, proofreader and editor, and so on. With three years experience in the field of SMM and copy writing, Abi is versatile and thrives in diverse fields (experienced in hospitality, non-profit, pet care, fashion and retail). Abi is able to morph into any role she is in and ensures nothing suffers under her watch.
Abi identified her flare for writing and honed it right from college, where even her mates would request her to proofread the content and grammar of their work before turning them in, as early as her 2nd year in 2016. Abi finds herself in this same predicament even in her personal life and this inspired her to start Abi’s Edits.
She was previously employed to proofread editions of a bimonthly publication in 2021, and has proofread more written work, including a short book, a portion of a yearly devotional, a children’s book, a faith-based publication, as well as other written content she has helped those around her proofread.
Abi recently completed a WordPress Website Development and Search Engine Optimization training with the DMSI, and this portfolio makes up part of her assessment, where she was required to build a full WordPress Website. Abi could not think of anything better to work on than the skills she has honed over the years.
Academically, Abi possesses a master’s degree in Management with Human Resource Management (HRM) and is passionate about the human capital. She is also a lover of scarves and runs her own business where she sells them. She also handles her own social media pages so you may catch a day in her life there!
